Bernie Bridges is back, making a horror video (Things), selling T-shirts to kids who don't want them (Clucks), and using his lucky parrot to win at Uno (Birdbrains). As usual, Stein knows how to plot a story, but he gives us no reason to like Bernie or to root for him. Some readers may keep turning pages for the jokes.
